For our fourth year, the Buddy Booster team returns to Krap Yai Wong Kusonkit school with the aim being to focus on the topic of sustainability. As the world around us continues to rapidly industrialise, it is becoming increasingly vital to be mindful of the strain we are placing on the environment. While these issues may seem beyond our control it is important that everyone plays a part to ensure we preserve the natural environment for our future generations. The Buddy Booster team aims to further this movement by teaching the students habits they can practice to be more environmentally friendly. Alongside this, we will highlight actions that their local communities can take to be more sustainable. We believe that while this may be a global issue, an impact can only be made if every individual plays their part.
One of our initiatives to achieve this is to bring a guest speaker from MitrPhol to talk about sustainability and SDGs. The company has been leading the charge in promoting sustainability, earning a variety of awards and a reputation of being one of the world's leading sustainable sugar producers. In addition, we will be joined by 2 other schools in the area; Thep Wittaya School and Krabyai Kindergarten School, to ensure that we can reach as many people as possible. Our other initiatives include the Love Earth Challenge, waste separation activities, and the donation of recycling bins to the school.
This year we will be teaching a total of 476 students across 5 year groups: 240 students in M1, 76 in M2, 80 in M3, 40 in M4, and 40 in M5. These students will be taught by our skilled volunteer teachers who come from schools and universities across Thailand, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The camp will be held from 29 Juneβ1 July 2026.
